Learners get the Green Rule of the Day!

stationarydriveThe Miss Earth South Africa in association with Consol have been rolling out a National Stationery Drive. Stationery was collected from both corporates and private individuals over the past two months. Rulers, pencils, pens, chalk, highlighters, koki pens, crayons sharpeners and pencil cases to keep it all safe, were handed out at Elethu Themba at the end of last month.

Last year saw the launch of the Green Legacy Campaign, this year Elethu Themba’s Grade Fours were the happy recipients. Newsclip Media Monitoring, Legacy Hotels, Columbine Crossing, Imperial Toyota, Proudly SA, SA Garden Magazine, Nadene Devraj, Adilia Teixeira, CEF, Taryn Barker and Wesizwe Platinum all assisted in the collections. Stationery was even received from a group of individuals in the US, that have supported this drive from it’s inception last year. The Barefoot Day held at Eagle Hill School in the US collected stationery from walkers, thank you to Jessy Bonzek and her 1 Mile Barefoot Team for their support.

Three schools in Limpopo were included in this drive, along with Jane’s Haven and Marang Home in Johannesburg. Stationery is always needed through out the year so please keep us in mind… Thank You to all the Stationery Collectors who made this all possible.
