We were privileged to be invited to the 2015 Youth Radio Awards, the Children’s Radio foundation aims to train young reporters across Africa, giving them the skills to make their voices heard. Igniting important conversations amongst young people in their communities and gaining valuable leadership skills.
“With over 68 projects in 5 countries in Africa, our 1300 youth radio reporters broadcast in 25 languages and reach over 7 million listeners each week.”
The event honours the young reporters for their commitment to make sustainable differences in the lives of their young community members. The reporters take to the airwaves in their respective areas and discuss topics ranging from health, teen pregnancies, HIV, environmental issues and even Xenophobia. The awards included “Best Public Service Announcement” and “Best Youth Radio”
